Collector, curator, entrepreneur and founder of Fondation Thalie, Nathalie Guiot recently initiated ALEOR Craft & Biodesign, a creative studio dedicated to biodesign, bio-based or renewable materials, craftsmanship, and the art of ecological narratives. In conversation with author, critic and curator Yann Chateigné Tytelman, she reflects on ten years of patronage, collecting, exhibitions and commitment to creators working at the intersection of art, design and ecology.
Founded in 2014, the Fondation Thalie has spent a decade supporting contemporary creation through its art center in Brussels, where it hosted artist and writer residencies, produced exhibitions and developed a multidisciplinary program bridging art, design, science and literature. In 2025, it transitioned into an endowment trust, repositioning itself around the Thalie Collection, which focuses on Global South art scenes, women artists, craftsmanship and ecological thinking. The Foundation continues its activities with exhibitions and an art and design residency in Arles, in the south of France.
The book La Fondation Thalie, une décennie de création was published by Skira in 2025, with contributions by Emmanuel Tibloux, Chiara Vecchiarelli, Yann Chateigné Tytelman, Nathalie Guiot, and Anissa Touati.
The talk will be in French, Nathalie Guiot will be available to sign the book afterwards.
